About a year ago, I wrote a short story with a male character who plays the keyboard in a band. His name was Kyle, and I loved him. I worked on this story for awhile and thought about trying to expand it into a novel for NaNoWriMo, but never got around to it. In the last month, I was introduced to Alex Goot’sYouTube channel. He’s an amazing cover artist, and I realized he is Kyle....

If I had to pick one celebrity crush...
It would be Mark Webber. He’s not uber famous, and most people probably don’t even know him by name… but in two of my favorite movies from childhood and my early teens have Webber in them, just being adorable. He’s Hal from Snowday, and as if that isn’t good enough, he plays Designated Dave in Drive Me Crazy opposite Adrian Grenier.

"Yes," I said. "Isn't it pretty to think so?"
Ever since reading The Sun Also Rises, this has become my interior monologue.  For once, I liked some of Hemingway’s characters. And, as always, he sure can use words.

Watching reruns of House
And I’ve compiled this handy list of my favorite Gregory House team members. 1. Kutner. I just loved Kutner. Everything about Kutner. He was reckless, and humorous, and freaking smart. And then he died. And I hated it. But props to Kal Penn on his chance to work in DC. 2. Chase. One, he’s Australian. Two, he’s gorgeous. Three, there was the whole “It’s Tuesday, I...

Finally got around to finishing Jenny Han's summer...
For both The Summer I turned Pretty and It’s Not Summer Without You I was team Jeremiah Fisher. I loved everything about him. His sense of humor, his sensitivity and love for Susannah, the way you could just tell he always actually saw Belly. He was the brother I would have picked in a heartbeat. Conrad was too unpredictable, he wasn’t the rock you need in a relationship. And then...

appropriation: Setting the important precedent for Mondo to be robbed in season 8.  Uhhh. Both sooo freaking unjust. I felt the same way in nine too, about Anthony Ryan. Josh M. should have gone home, those pants were horrendous.

The Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy is worth reading...
Yes, I read Shiver and loved Sam and liked Grace and sort of liked them together. I loved Rachel the most, but that is beside the point. I even kind of loved Isabel. However, I wasn’t sold on the idea of it being a trilogy. I liked the way Shiver itself resolved. Then I read Linger, and I was never so glad to be wrong, because Cole St. Clair skyrocketed up my list of fictional crushes.  ...

This girl is awesome. 'Nuff said.
briannashea247: Tonight, I was sitting behind Maureen Johnson, and I promise we weren’t being creepy, but we could see that she was texting Scott Westerfeld.  So I could see John talking, as Maureen was sitting right in front of me, as she was texting Scott Westerfeld.  The first thing I thought was: AUTHOR-CEPTION!!
